Ornatrix features #7 - The hair removal brush in Maya.

Image
In this episode, I show the brush that can be used to remove hair in Ornatrix for Maya. It is convenient to use for both normal hair and sculpted hair. Personally, I recommend turning off MeshFromStrands during removal - to optimize the viewport. ---  CONTENTS: 0:00 - Selecting a brush and demonstrating how it works. 0:19 - Turning off MeshFromStrands modifier - in order to optimize viewport. Unfortunately, Maya is very bad with dense mesh when it comes to modifiers, some Deformers and so on. So it can hardly be optimized. That's why it's better to turn it off - when you're working with a brush. --- The purpose of the series - quickly show something interesting and useful related to this plugin.  I do not spend time on the voiceover, as there are already basic lessons - which also need to do =) But since - I do not upload them very often, need to do something else - to grow the channel. --- CHANNEL SUPPORT: If you want to support this channel, then throw your donations ...

GIGABYTE AERO 15 OLED YD: Indigo Bench | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop(16Gb)

Image
This is the sixth episode of my GIGABYTE AERO 15 OLED YD laptop and in this episode I test the Indigo Bench for Indigo Renderer in CPU/GPU - modes on the GPU - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop with 16GB of video memory/CPU - i9-11980HK. In the benchmark there are two standard scenes - visualization of the interior and the car. It is possible to test both CPU and GPU, and MultiGPU is not abolished. But in this case I don't see the point in Multi-GPU test, because the laptop has one powerful video card, and the integrated one is designed for other tasks, about which I have already told in the very first series of the review. Ornatrix Features #4 - Parting Brush(Maya)

Image
In this episode - you'll see the brush settings in Ornatrix for Maya to get a quick Parting. I recorded such a video - at the request for subscribers in Discord chat. Mikhail showed how it works in Houdini and asked - is it possible in Ornatrix? In this video I showed working with guides, but you can use this trick for hair as well.  I used to record videos like this with "link access," but now I thought they would be useful for everyone and decided to slowly open them up on the channel. The goal of the series is to quickly show something interesting and useful related to this plugin.  My time is not wasted on the voiceover, because there are already basic lessons - which also need to do =) But as - I do not load them very often, I need to do something else to promote the channel.  --- PREVIOUS SERIES: ➡️1 series - https://youtu.be/x16TlHsahTU   ➡️2 series - https://youtu.be/IPd4-XKP7Kg   ➡️3 series - https://youtu.be/nZXXG7ZE9Vg   --- CONTENTS: 0:06...

GIGABYTE AERO 15 OLED YD: V-Ray 5 Benchmark. Part 1/NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop(16Gb)

Image
This is the fifth episode about my GIGABYTE AERO 15 OLED YD( https://bit.ly/3dK8gB7 ) laptop and in this episode I test V-Ray 5 Benchmark in different modes and also do a render test of the first two scenes with RTX ON/OFF on the GPU - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop with 16GB of video memory/CPU - i9-11980HK. The speed gain on these scenes is 30%-56%, which saves enough animation rendering time. In V-Ray 5 Benchmark - there are 3 options: ➡️Just V-Ray - testing the CPU ➡️V-Ray GPU CUDA is RTX OFF on the GPU ➡️V-Ray GPU RTX - RTX ON In this video, I tested a scene I'm currently working on for Samir Mir's character - https://www.artstation.com/artwork/682lBw   Its WIPS can be seen here - https://www.artstation.com/artofcharly/albums/3447046   And the second scene is the already well-known dog, which I did back in 2019.  https://www.artstation.com/artwork/yb35w5   Of course this is only the head, since I'm still preparing a full body to render, since the final sc...
